As Hotel Elefant enters its fifth season, we celebrate what we’ve accomplished together in our first five years and approach our next chapter with great excitement and anticipation. Looking ahead to our next five seasons and beyond, we are committed to reasserting our artistic mission with renewed vigor: Hotel Elefant exists to advocate for the work of innovative living composers.
Our advocacy takes the form, not only of commissioning, performing, and recording new music, but of facilitating a broader dialogue around the contemporary cultural landscape. We seek to connect artists and communities in new and thoughtful ways, thus enriching an environment in which creativity can flourish.
Over the coming year, as we present SEASON V: FUTURE/PRESENT, we will simultaneously be laying the groundwork for HOTEL ELEFANT 2.0, a new framework for Hotel Elefant’s musical offerings. Hotel Elefant 2.0 is designed to reassert Hotel Elefant’s artistic identity, deepen the organization’s impact on the arts community, and unleash the creative potential of the ensemble’s personnel, all in a fiscally responsible and sustainable way.
Stay tuned for more details as we incubate this exciting new phase of Hotel Elefant’s future. In the meantime, we look forward to sharing with you another season of bold musical innovation. We open the season with the latest collaboration in our ongoing partnership with BalletCollective, presenting world premieres of new works by Judd Greenstein and Ellis Ludwig-Leone in collaboration with architects Carlos Arnaiz and James Ramsey. And we hope to have many of you with us at our YEAR 5 BENEFIT at the studio of renowned artist Caio Fonseca, and featuring special guest violinist Jennifer Koh.
Thanks for joining us on what promises to be a thrilling journey.
