CAITLIN MCKECHNEY is a vocalist from Lake Bluff, Illinois. Starting off as a rock ‘n’ roll singer, her experience has spanned from the blues to grand opera. She has performed with companies such as Florida Grand Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Memphis, Sarasota Opera, Opera New Jersey, and Chicago Opera Vanguard. Favorite roles include Inez Serrano in Andy Vores’s operatic treatment of Satre’s existential masterpiece No Exit, the title role in Carmen, Maddalena in Rigoletto, the Wife/Mother in Mark Anthony Turnage’s Greek, and Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. She is also a founding member of the Opera Cowgirls, a band that brings opera to the masses by mixing opera with rock ‘n’ roll and country and also operafying classic country tunes. www.caitlinmckechney.com
